Amanda Loerinc Guinyard, Ph.D.

Dr. Loerinc Guinyard is the Founder and Executive Director of the CBT Center of Boston, and is a licensed clinical psychologist in both Massachusetts and California. She specializes in the delivery of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for adults and adolescents with anxiety disorders, depression, and pervasive emotion dysregulation.  Additionally, she has extensive training in prolonged exposure and cognitive processing therapy for PTSD and teaching DBT parent skills. 

Dr. Loerinc Guinyard graduated cum laude from Boston University with a major in Psychology and received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles under the mentorship of Dr. Michelle Craske. While at UCLA, her research focused on improving the effectiveness of CBT for anxiety disorders and depression. More specifically, Dr. Loerinc Guinyard is interested in finding commonalities among these disorders to assist in the development of a more dimensional approach to the treatment of anxiety disorders and depression. She completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in North Hills, CA and her post-doctoral fellowship at CBT/DBT California, where she provided full-model DBT and CBT to both adults and adolescents. After completing her fellowship, Dr. Loerinc Guinyard was appointed as Assistant Clinical Director at CBT/DBT California, where she oversaw clinical staff, the supervision of trainees, and provided consultation and training to staff at CBT/DBT California and professionals in the Los Angeles community. Additionally, she trained and supervised graduate students in the UCLA Clinical Psychology Program. Most recently, Dr. Loerinc Guinyard worked as a Clinical Psychologist at The Concord Center in Concord, MA.

In addition to her clinical practice at the CBT Center of Boston, Dr. Loerinc Guinyard is involved in ongoing research at UCLA, and serves as an Assistant Project Scientist in the UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences. She also provides training and consultation in CBT and DBT to psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Loerinc Guinyard is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies.
